Hello hello hello!
I’m already late to the game, but I’ll be damned if I don’t attempt a monthly favorites post for all of 2018. So, even a late start is good enough, right?
January felt like it lasted five years for me. Did it feel that long for anyone else? Well, in that time I experimented with new skincare routines that feigned some pretty great results! January was a time of dewy skin, winter anime releases, and killer thrift finds. Let’s dive in!

- Murad Essencial C Cleanser
Okay, I was finally reeled into one of those “mini skincare sampler 30 day trial” sets from Murad (here) and honestly? My skin looked bomb by the end of the 30 days! While the serum and creams were a bit thick for my liking, the cleanser was my favorite. I’m a sucker for citrus scents, and it was not harsh on the skin; it made for the perfect morning cleanser! Now, whether it’s helping with my hyperpigmentation – I’m not sure. However, my acne stayed mysteriously at bay for weeks….so I’ll keep it in my regimen for now!
- Missha The First Treatment Essence
I bit the bullet and finally got my hands on this essence that I’ve been dying to try for several years. After using it for roughly one month already, I can’t go a day without using this product right after I wash my face! My skin drinks it right up and it preps me for the rest of my skin case. It’s a must!
- Garnier Moisture Rescue Gel
As an oily and acne-prone girl, gel moisturizers are my friend. I was in the market for a new one after my trusted Mizon Snail Recovery Gel ran out and Garnier had fantastic reviews for this product. It helps keep my oil away and keeps my skin hydrated – what more could I need?

- Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in November
This liquid lip is my staple lately! It’s not the ultra matte formula, so it does transfer, however my lips are not butthole-looking nor do they completely dry out by the end of the day. The color is so beautiful and totally wearable for every day.
- Maybelline Superstay Foundation
HOO BOY this foundation is full coverage and dries down super fast. With a good moisturizer and setting powder, this baby is locked all day. Love.

- Hand Painted Sweatshirt (Thrifted)
I nabbed this bad boy (pictured right) from my local Savers and man am I obsessed withit! It’s the perfect cozy oversized crewneck and is complete with hand painted flowers on the front and back!
